A Breath of Fresh Air

I have been doing some thinking.

I still don't think that M is best off with her father.

But she wants to stay in school at Newman.

I miss her, and I don't like France.

But, as long as J can promise me certain things, I will let her continue going to school at Newman, and I will at least try to finish the school year in France. I would hate to leave "my kids" at EaB, anyway. They're so cool and I so love teaching there!

So, I am NOT, not, not leaving France in February, in any case. I would love to see H, J, A, M, A, S, and D graduate!!! M is moving to New Caledonia, so I won't get to see her graduation. That's really too bad. She is such a cool kid!! I love having her in class. I love them all, actually!

Morgan won't be able to get her passport done in time for Christmas.

I have not been feeling well. I had the blood clot in my leg. My back is twisted and painful. It hurts to sit up or to stand. I am only comfortable lying down or propped up by pillows. I had a mammogram yesterday. There is a tumor in my left breast. But they think it is benign. We shall see. But it looks to be good news on that front. Besides that, my liver is giving me trouble. Interestingly, when I was younger, and sicker, and fatter, I never had a problem with it. Or maybe I did, but had so many other things going on that I didn't notice!! I don't know exactly what is going on with my liver, but the doctor is following me closely, I am undergoing tests, and have been ordered to get as much rest as possible. Yeah, right, like that's going to happen with all of these medical appointments and tests!!!
