That woman is a success

In trying to figure out what Hallmark card my friend Julie keeps nearby, I discovered the following beautiful poems...

That woman is a success

who loves life
and lives it to the fullest;

who has discovered and shared
the strengths and talents
that are uniquely her own;

who puts her best into each task
and leaves each situation
better than she found it;

who seeks and finds
that which is beautiful
in all people and all things;

whose heart is full of love
and warm with compassion;

who has found joy in living
and peace within herself.

~ Barbara J. Burrow ~

That woman is a success
who has lived well,
laughed often and loved much;
who has gained the respect
of intelligent people
and the love of children;
who has filled their niche
and accomplished their task;
who leaves the world better
than they found it;
who has never lacked appreciation
of earth's beauty
or failed to express it;
who looked for the best in others
and gave the best they had.

    thanks: I did not know any more who wrote it, and I like both versions!

    the respect of intelligent people? or people with heart or both? somehow self restect also even more important!

    can we always express earth beauty? at least we can try, yes
